Job summary

A global leader in marine technology is seeking a full-time Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in St. John’s, NL, Canada. The role involves developing computer vision approaches and sensor fusion systems to enhance maritime operations in harsh environments. Ideal candidates will have a degree in computer science or engineering and knowledge of programming languages such as Python and C++. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (focus on data science with specialization in computer vision preferred).
  • Experience in the marine industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work together with a high-performing team of Naval Architects and Ice Mechanics experts.
  • Develop and implement computer vision models for image segmentation and classification.
  • Design sensor fusion systems integrating data from cameras, Lidar, Radar, and other sensors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers and data scientists.
