About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager – Manufacturing Tool Design and working closely with S&C’s Business Unit, the Manufacturing Technician (12‑month contract) is responsible for supporting production processes to ensure that deadlines are met and production lines are running smoothly.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Duties &

Providing support to production areas, including, but not limited to:

  • CNC programming of fabrication equipment (Laser / punch / form‑brakes).
  • Tooling and fixture design, welding fixtures, machine shop fixturing.
  • Engineering change orders and routings.
  • Troubleshooting machines.
  • Problem‑solving and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • 1‑2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Diploma in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, manufacturing, or a similar field.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience with tool design, CAD, and CNC programming.
  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing, machining, and welding is a strong asset.
  • Familiar with fabrication and assembly equipment and processes.
  • A good eye for detail with excellent analytical, problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience being resourceful and adaptable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
Physical Effort

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day‑to‑ activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting / moving / using objects or equipment up to 20 lbs.
