POSITION TITLE
Manufacturing Process Engineer
STARTING SALARY
$65,000 – 85,000 annual salary range with 3 – 5 years
Process Engineering in Manufacturing Environment
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Eliminate losses, plan for the future, build capability in oneself and others for their value stream/product line/technical ownership.
- Conduct research into the development and improvement of chemical engineering processes, reactions, and materials, as they pertain to the manufacturing process of pyrotechnic devices.
- Establish process safety goals and objectives.
- Ensure that resources are allocated based on process hazards and risks rather than just by the economic viability of the process.
- Effectively communicate with management, operational management, production leaders, and process team members, regarding progress, issues, or corrective actions related to assigned projects.
- Interacts, integrates, and drives results across cross-functional teams.
- Drive, organize and oversee scheduling from launch to production, including all transition points; plan and follow-up on excess/obsolescence or materials and processes, and post-production activities (capture in Learn from Experience).
- Understand, apply, and meet all Health and Safety (internal, WHMIS & OHSA), Regulatory (ERD, CERL, TDG), Quality (QMS) and System procedures.
- Perform and analyze root cause analysis, time studies and production capability.
- Coordinate with the change management process to ensure seamless introduction of changes throughout the product life cycle.

QUALIFICATONS:
- Must have completed a bachelor’s degree program in engineering in a Manufacturing environment.
- Project Management experience
- Experience working in multiple Process Improvement Methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.)
- Experience with Solidworks
- Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project (office 365 environment)
