Calgary Area Client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge product development, operations, and quality in a hands-on leadership role. You will drive sustaining engineering, lead NPI manufacturing readiness, and mentor engineers to strengthen factory capability.

Responsibilities include coordinating BOMs and routings for new builds, performing root-cause analysis, and driving value engineering without compromising quality or aesthetics.

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
  • APEGA registration (P.Eng. or eligible) required for independent engineering practice.
  • 5–10+ years of hands-on manufacturing or sustaining engineering experience within a product-development environment.

Mansioni

  • Lead technical reviews and mentor junior engineers.
  • Own manufacturing readiness for NPI, including BOMs, routings, tooling, and operator training.
  • Lead root causes analyses, containment plans, and corrective actions for field or factory issues.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities across components, materials, processes, tooling, and architectures.
  • Perform tolerance analyses, DFM/DFA reviews, prototyping, and testing across mechanical, thermal, optical, electrical systems.
