Responsibilities

  • Create and assist in the implementation of design and process changes.
  • Maintain documentation & audits for structural and thermal testing.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives.
  • Introduce new manufacturing and assembly processes to production.
  • Analyze existing production methods and implement quick set ups.

Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering.
  • Strong CAD skills.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.
  • Trained in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, including but not limited to 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Set up Reduction, or Six Sigma.
  • Must have 3 – 5 years manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Product design an asset.
  • Window and door manufacturing experience an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Create and assist in the implementation of design and process changes that improve quality, reduce cost and/or improve performance.
  • Maintain documentation & audits for structural and thermal testing.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives.
  • Introduce new manufacturing and assembly processes to production.
  • Analyze existing production methods and implement quick set ups.
  • Develop and implement cost reductions initiatives.
  • New equipment specification, procurement, and installation.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve problems.
  • Design fixtures, jigs and tools for use in manufacturing.
  • Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing and design problems.
  • Perform time studies.
  • Analyze Special Product Requests for Production and Purchased part requirements.
