The successful candidate will have a university degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering and at least 5-7 years of practical experience. The Opportunity

Position Description
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will strategically implement lean manufacturing to continually improve the production process.
  • Identify areas for improvement in support of product quality, cost reduction, and on time delivery.
  • Support manufacturing solutions, including design engineering, to achieve goals and objectives of organizational projects
  • Contribute to the 5s initiative to ensure that improvements are sustained and entrenched within the business.
  • Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program into daily production schedule with focus on overall equipment efficiency and quality
  • Perform Return On Investment (ROI) analysis for potential new capital equipment and tooling, including equipment research, purchasing, installation, staff training
  • Ensure the factory layout, both at macro and micro levels, is suitable for an efficient manufacturing process.
Experience
  • Advance knowledge of Solidworks and familiar with Draftsight and / or AutoCAD.
  • Project management skills and technical ability to implement the initiative throughout manufacturing floor environment
Qualifications

University or College degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5-7 years of practical experience

Education

University or College degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, or similar, combined with a minimum 5 years of practical design experience.
