Manufacturing Engineer – Responsibilities
  • In a New Product Introduction environment, define, verify and release mechanical and electrical test requirements, specifications, routines and tooling for the commissioning of new instruments.
  • Perform assessment of the fit of parts to assemblies, collaborating with the design team to improve the design to minimize cost and defects. This includes performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and developing and qualifying new tools and fixtures.
  • Participate in building prototype instruments to develop and release assembly instructions.
  • Develop and validate new processes introduced into manufacturing.
  • Provide Manufacturing Engineering input on proposed design changes and their impact to manufacturing.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university program.
  • 5+ years of related work experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an R&D environment, including assembly development and release of assembly instructions, commissioning test specifications, problem‑solving analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and process validation.
  • Working knowledge of Catia.
  • PE eligible.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum 5 years as a mechanical designer.
  • Minor in an electrical/electronic curriculum.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD SolidWorks.
