Job summary

Myticas Consulting Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on hands-on accounting in a manufacturing/operational environment with increasing responsibility over time.

The successful candidate should have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and exposure to payroll. Manufacturing/logistics exposure is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and government/statutory filings.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and data analysis.
• Some payroll exposure.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities: AP, AR, GL, and bank transactions.
• Support and own parts of the month-end close process.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
• Perform reconciliations for bank, credit cards and GL.
• Review GL accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
• Prepare financial schedules and supporting documentation for monthly and year-end reporting.
• Assist with financial and variance analysis.
• Prepare and submit government remittances and statutory filings (HST, WSIB, EHT).
• Support payroll activities, including inputs and reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance and other departments.
