Warehouse Manager

Position Summary: The Warehouse Manager is a self‑motivated, well organized and highly efficient member of the Management team. The incumbent is a leader taking responsibility for planning and maintaining an organized warehouse, so things are easily found, counted, and shipped accurately. This role works as a liaison between Customer Service team to communicate expediting freight, stock levels and status of order details. This position plays a large role in our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Position Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, optimize and monitor the storage for both raw materials and finished goods.
  • Coordinate work of shipping and receiving team.
  • Resolve any problems or complaints within shipping/receiving.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure schedules and deadlines are maintained for customer roll outs.
  • Oversee and train new warehouse staff, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to provide details for shipping freight rates in order to produce quotes.
  • Maintain an organized, safe and clean warehouse.
  • Inventory cycle counts, identify slow moving items and work with Operations team for disposition.
  • Maintaining Warehouse supplies needs for reorder coordination with Purchasing Department.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment forklift, Reach, RF scanners and schedule of service or repair.
  • As needed help with preparation of shipments.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately recorded, including documenting and submitting claims for damaged shipments.
  • Participate in the development of process improvements.
  • Provide involvement in the planning and execution of Special Projects related to Warehouse Organization, Inventory Control.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Able to work with routine and yet still show a sense of urgency and problem‑solving.
  • Demonstrated self-starter, positive attitude, self‑initiative.
  • Analytical, ambitious and goal-oriented.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, accurate and efficient.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly in an open team structure within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Work with Accounting team for ERP system updates and efficiencies as relates to inventory and shipping.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years in various warehouse experience with management of process and staff responsibilities ideally including those in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift/Reach truck certified.
  • First Aid Certified an asset.
  • Post Secondary education in supply chain/logistics or Business Administration diploma an asset.
  • Computer literacy with ERP software, Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Physical Requirements

Daily walking and sitting with occasional lifting not more than 30 pounds.

Work Environment

Predominately Shipping office based with intermittent noise level, involves walks on shop floor with higher noise levels with moving machinery. Work environment is subject to dust.

Job Type

Full‑time, Permanent.

Work Expectations

40 hours per week Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm.
