Job Details

Aosom Canada Inc is an eCommerce company that specializes in home goods and various other products. We are currently looking to fill the position of Warehouse Manager to handle daily operations of a new 200,000 sq‑ft warehouse, including freight, shipping and receiving, returns, and parts. The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day‑to‑day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team, and provide impeccable customer service to our clients. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes run smoothly and promptly. Responsibilities
  • Experience and knowledgeable in setting up and managing a distribution central warehouse, including but not limited to racking, equipment, shipping and receiving, operations
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Perform general maintenance of machinery used in the warehouse
  • Manage the warehouse tools and equipment with scheduled inspection
  • Knowledgeable of materials for shipping and receiving needs
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
  • Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and evaluate employees
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
  • Manage customer service requests promptly and resolve issues quickly
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
Qualifications
  • Fast learner with very strong technical and logical thought
  • Proven work experience as a warehouse manager
  • 5+ years experience in a warehouse manager role
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Experience with retail/e-commerce warehouse operation
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands‑on experience with warehouse management ERP software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
  • Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
  • English and Mandarin will be an asset
