Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Strategy Delivery, the Vendor Manager is responsible for management of vendor lifecycle in partnership with HTB’s stakeholders, optimize the vendor spend and track vendor performance.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Vendor Lifecycle and Partnership Management:

  • Foster partnerships and strengthen network with suppliers, business and technology partners
  • Lead vendor selection, onboarding, and performance reviews in alignment to bank’s strategic goals
  • Strengthen vendor management function and capabilities within the organization
  • Manage vendor transitions, renewals, and terminations to ensure smooth processes.
  • Ensure contracts and SOWs are compliant, risk proof and well managed.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and business units, ensuring consistent communication and alignment of vendor activities with business needs.

Cost and Value Optimization:

  • Analyze vendor spend, capability mapping and identify cost-saving opportunities by eliminating redundancies or rationalization services to optimize value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate contracts, optimize spend, monitor contract terms, track SLAs, KPIs to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Closely partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance and Finance teams to maintain vendor risk, compliance and financial standards as per bank’s guidelines.

Governance and Reporting:

  • Develop vendor reporting and performance management scorecards to track 360 performance.
  • Provide detailed reporting and insights on vendor performance, utilization and financial impact.
  • Right-size vendor governance, develop RACI’s, improve processes, develop efficiency tools to achieve sourcing excellence.
  • Keep current with industry best practices and propose ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field

Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:

  • 7+ years of vendor / procurement management experience, preferably in banking/financial services industry and relevant certifications
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations and vendor risk management principles
  • Demonstrated contract negotiation, conflict resolution expertise, and relationship management skills
  • Experience with vendor management tools and performance tracking
  • The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong project and change management skills

Technical Skills :

  • Proficient in contract review and SLA management
  • Strong data and analysis and financial modeling capabilities
  • Advanced Excel and reporting dashboard creation skills, Power BI, Tableau skills preferred
  • Understanding of banking technology systems and integrations
