The Manager, Underwriting Performance & Oversight plays a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the organization’s underwriting authority and product governance frameworks. This includes overseeing the Service Company Agreement (SCA) renewal, supporting compliance activities, granting and reviewing underwriting authorities, overseeing audit and compliance reporting, and driving continuous improvement, particularly through automation and data-driven insights.
You will deliver essential KPI reporting, manage product governance throughout the full lifecycle, coordinate underwriting initiatives, and curate policy wordings and collaboration tools. As a core member of governance committees, you will ensure clear communication, structured decision-making, and consistent adherence to standards across the organization.
This role also supports underwriting leadership in building performance monitoring frameworks, supporting business planning, conducting quarterly reviews, and ensuring alignment with international underwriting standards.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Underwriting, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Canadian Senior Leadership Team, as well as international partners including the Office of the Chief Underwriting Officer (OCUO) and Compliance. This role is ideal for an experienced underwriter who thrives in a focused, innovative environment and is passionate about finding smarter, more effective ways of working and demonstrates leadership strengths.
