YOUR ROLE AS A

Sustainability Manager

You’ll be part of AirAsia’s exciting sustainability journey—strengthening our environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments and driving impactful initiatives across the Group. Reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), you’ll help shape strategies and actions that ensure the long-term sustainability of aviation and the AirAsia ecosystem.

WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION
  • Support AirAsia Philippines in meeting sustainability requirements and best practices.
  • Participate in meetings, forums, and workshops on aviation sustainability, especially those related to CORSIA, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and carbon markets.
  • Monitor and review updates on CORSIA regulations and ensure compliance with the latest industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and relevant bodies—including the Department of Transportation, CAAP, DENR, and DOE—to identify opportunities for emissions reduction and offsetting initiatives.
  • Develop carbon emission forecasts and establish short-, mid-, and long-term targets to achieve Net Zero, in line with AirAsia Group’s ESG strategy.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives to enhance overall environmental performance.
  • Track and report sustainability metrics, and support the publication of the annual ESG performance report.
  • Communicate AirAsia’s sustainability commitments to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide timely ESG updates and presentations to the PAA Management, Board, and Board Committees.

  • Passionate about sustainability and aviation, with the drive to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical, creative, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent in planning, time management, and managing data in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ideally with experience engaging ministries and government agencies.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and confident in communicating complex sustainability issues clearly.

MERITS
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in aviation or sustainability-related fields, lead or manager level.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of sustainability principles and CORSIA regulations.
    • Familiar with Corporate Responsibility frameworks and sustainability reporting.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Google Suite applications.
    • Strong analytical and presentation abilities.
