Through the implementation of best practices, policies, processes, tools, and systems, the team supports supply chain efficiency and continuous improvement across the organization.

As the Manager, Supply Planning, you will lead the national supply and inventory planning function, establishing inventory targets, coordinating product movements across distribution centres, and developing strategies to balance supply with forecasted demand. You will oversee supply planning for fresh blood components, ensuring that inventory levels support product availability while minimizing waste and outdating.

  • Leveraging your knowledge of inventory management and demand forecasting, you will establish inventory targets and develop strategies to balance supply and demand across distribution centres, optimize inventory coverage, coordinate product movements, and minimize product outdating and waste.
  • Drawing on your experience in production and supply planning, you will develop master production plans for fresh blood components, aligning plans with corporate planning, budgeting, quarterly demand and operations planning, and execution cycles.
  • Demonstrating your understanding of product lifecycle and portfolio transitions, you will develop supply plans for new product introductions, product discontinuations, and other portfolio changes to maintain product availability and minimize excess inventory.
  • Applying your skills in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management, you will work with collection operations, distribution centres, internal business partners, and external suppliers and contract fractionators to align supply plans, meet contractual commitments, and support the effective management of national inventories.
  • Utilizing your expertise in continuous improvement and operational efficiency, you will support the implementation of integrated business planning practices, lean principles, new technologies, and improved processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain performance.
  • Leveraging your analytical and problem-solving capabilities, you will establish key performance indicators, oversee inventory forecasting and reporting, identify trends toward insufficient or excessive inventory, and develop recommendations and corrective actions to address emerging issues.
  • Demonstrating your ability to communicate complex information, you will prepare clear, timely, and accurate reports, briefing notes, and executive-level updates that support informed decision-making and communicate supply and inventory risks, performance, and mitigation strategies.
  • Contributing your project management and change leadership skills, you will lead or provide subject matter expertise to supply chain projects and initiatives, monitor progress against project plans, resolve issues, manage risks, and support the achievement of project objectives.
  • Fostering your strengths in people leadership and talent development, you will recruit, coach, and develop a team of planners and analysts, establish clear performance expectations, balance workloads, and build a collaborative environment focused on accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
  • Championing governance, quality, and operational excellence, you will establish and maintain standards, policies, processes, and governance models that promote consistent supply and inventory planning practices and support effective oversight across the organization.
