Responsibilities

• Shoppers Drug Mart Strategy team supports staying a leader in retail pharmacy by developing retail and health strategies and launching innovative product and service offerings.
• Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning, you will help drive and maintain special projects across the business unit, working cross-functionally with SHN and the enterprise.
• Collaborate with SHN’s team on all aspects of strategy development – from conceptualization to resource/financial planning, execution, and benefits realization.
• Act as a strategic thought leader, providing data-driven insights and identifying opportunities to drive sales, share, and improve business outcomes.
• Support the development of SHN-specific strategies and associated tactics that improve competitive position and accelerate financial performance.
• Lead the Intake & Prioritization review process, conduct in-depth analyses on capacity, strategic alignment, and governance to ensure strategies are resourced and executed on time.
• Track and evaluate SHN strategies, diagnose drivers of outperformance or underperformance, and drive initiatives forward.
• Develop tangible metrics to measure success of strategic initiatives and translate results into actionable next steps.
• Create reports and conduct data set analysis; engage data-driven insights and financial impact with SHN and Senior Leadership.
• Design and develop program/project presentations for key executive stakeholders.
• Support and execute key initiatives from the SHN annual plan, leading analytics and strategy development with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SHN teams to ensure strategies support the SHN Strategy plan.

What You'll Need

• Minimum 3 years of work experience required. Retail, corporate strategy, healthcare, and management consulting experience strongly preferred.
• Post-secondary undergraduate degree (finance, economics, commerce, engineering) required.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with ability to conduct and interpret qualitative and quantitative research/insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including synthesizing large concepts to key insights for executive updates.
• Comfort with data analytics and the ability to derive actionable insights.
• Detail oriented with strong time management skills.
• Independent problem solving, critical thinking, and resourcefulness.
• An innate sense of curiosity and willingness to learn.
