A leading retailer based in Mississauga is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a diverse team. Responsibilities include establishing best practices in engineering, supporting staff development, and integrating Generative AI into processes. Position Summary... This role oversees the technical health of the domain and team development, ensuring an engaging and innovative work environment.
This role is responsible for the technical health of the domain and ecosystem. The role may manage staffing and career development to achieve the right talent mix, maintain motivation, and support career growth. Staffing will be maintained according to the domain's needs, and the development of software engineers will be prioritized to ensure an engaging work environment. The role may explore and connect technical solutions within the global network and local markets. The health and technical debt of the products within the domain will be monitored to ensure technical excellence. Collaboration with peers and compliance with standards and defined architectures will also be key responsibilities. Coordinating and overseeing job-related activities and assignments involves developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and communicating goals and objectives. The role may build accountability and measure progress in achieving results, identify and address improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning. The role may also provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and providing recognition. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and utilizing the Open Door Policy will also be essential aspects of this role.

The pay range for this position is $91,900.00 - $126,390.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
