Job summary

MNP is seeking a Manager, SharePoint Development in Calgary to lead and grow a high-performing SharePoint Online team. You will balance leadership with hands-on contribution, shaping the SharePoint roadmap, architecture, and governance while delivering scalable, business-focused solutions.

The role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, agile practices, and alignment with security/compliance standards across the Microsoft 365 stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in senior SharePoint roles with Online development, architecture, and administration.
• Proven track record leading and developing technical teams while contributing hands-on.
• Strong knowledge of information architecture, governance, permissions, and content management.
• Experience designing enterprise SharePoint solutions and workflow automation.
• Proven stakeholder management and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience in Agile environments and modern development/deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing SharePoint Online development team.
• Balance leadership with hands-on technical contributions and solution design.
• Drive design, development, and delivery of scalable SharePoint solutions.
• Own and evolve the SharePoint information architecture for UX clarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing SharePoint Online development team, including mentoring, performance management, capacity planning, and recruitment
• The ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands‑on technical contributions and solution design
• Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, business-focused SharePoint Online solutions
• Own and evolve the organization's SharePoint information architecture, ensuring an intuitive and effective user experience
• Build strong relationships and partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand needs, recommend solutions, and develop the SharePoint roadmap
• Establish and maintain development, governance, and release management best practices to ensure reliable and efficient delivery
• Run agile/scrum ceremonies and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to ensure solutions align with organizational security, governance, and compliance standards

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in senior SharePoint roles, with strong expertise in SharePoint Online development, architecture, and administration
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing technical teams while remaining actively hands‑on
• Strong understanding of SharePoint information architecture, site design, governance, search, permissions, and content management
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise SharePoint solutions and workflow automation
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Experience with modern development and deployment practices, including automation, source control, and release management
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, security, and compliance best practices
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Familiarity with Teams integration, Viva Connections, Microsoft Search, Microsoft 365 Copilot is considered an asset
