A major pension investment firm in Montreal is looking for a Manager / Senior Manager in Portfolio Operations and Governance. You will ensure operational excellence and governance integrity while managing financial oversight and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have over seven years of experience in portfolio operations and governance, be proficient in Excel, IT systems, and be bilingual in English and French. The Manager / Senior Manager, Portfolio Operations and Governance plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence, governance integrity, and financial oversight across the portfolio management function. This position acts as the central liaison for compliance, audit, and risk-related activities, while driving robust governance frameworks and maintaining alignment with legislative and corporate standards. The role oversees budget tracking, procurement processes, and reporting mechanisms to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, it fosters cross‑functional collaboration, manages stakeholder engagement, and ensures seamless onboarding and operational continuity. This position requires a strong blend of analytical, organisational, and communication skills to uphold governance standards and optimise portfolio operations.
