Job summary

DoorDash Canada is seeking a Manager, Sales Compliance to lead the merchant revenue assurance program across DoorDash and Deliveroo. This role oversees key SOX controls, ensuring commission changes and merchant pricing are contractually supported and correctly charged.

You will manage end-to-end reconciliations, investigate exceptions, and partner with product, engineering, accounting, legal and audit teams to remediate root causes, supporting revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in external audit (Big 4 preferred), internal audit, or SOX compliance.
  • Experience testing or operating revenue-related controls.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition and order-to-cash processes.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Experience partnering with data teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate data discrepancies.
  • Comfortable owning recurring controls and interacting with auditors.
  • Organized, process-driven, and thriving in a controlled environment.
  • Fluent in AI tools and concepts, with ability to deploy AI-forward solutions to improve efficiency, controls, and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end effectiveness of key SOX revenue controls, ensuring accuracy 100% of the time.
  • Oversee contract → system → charge reconciliations, review outputs, identify trends and assess risk areas.
  • Drive automation, validate contract sources of truth, automate reconciliations and anomaly detection.
  • Provide oversight on commission rate changes and new merchant onboardings, ensuring policy adherence.
  • Investigate mismatches, review root cause analyses, and ensure timely remediation.
  • Oversee refunds, corrections, and merchant outreach at scale with correction strategies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to build reconciliation data views, scripts, and SOPs.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation with clear support for conclusions and reviewer sign-off.
  • Expand control scope to new geographies and product areas with scalable reconciliation framework.
  • Identify systemic control gaps and propose scalable process improvements.
  • Synthesize and present outcomes, risks, and insights to Sales leadership, Engineering, and Internal Audit.

Job description

The Sales Compliance team is responsible for ensuring revenue assurance and designing effective OTC compliance and controls across DoorDash’s and Deliveroo’s Merchant organization. The Sales compliance team is part of the larger Sales Strategy & Operations team, which accelerates productivity and develops go-to-market strategies and processes to support our sales organization. This group builds the engine and foundation for DoorDash to achieve the best selection for our platform and grow revenues across all business lines.

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Sales Compliance to build the vision and roadmap for DoorDash and Deliveroo’s Merchant revenue assurance program. This role will oversee our key revenue related SOX controls, which ensures all commission rate changes and merchant pricing terms are contractually supported, accurately configured in system, and correctly applied to charges.

This role is responsible for overseeing monthly contract-to-system-to-charge reconciliations, investigating exceptions and partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, accounting, legal and audit teams to remediate underlying root cause issues that help accelerate DoorDash and Deliveroo’s revenue growth. They will also demonstrate operating effectiveness for all order-to-cash controls to Accounting, Internal and External Audit. This role will support all of DoorDash’s and Deliveroo’s marketplace products, business lines and countries/geos.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Sales Compliance. This role is hybrid, based in Vancouver, Canada.

Own the end-to-end effectiveness of key SOX revenue controls, holding the program to the standard of 100% of merchants charged correctly, 100% of the time

Be accountable for the effectiveness of contract → system → delivery-level charge reconciliations, reviewing and challenging outputs to ensure accuracy, identify trends and assess risk areas

Drive the shift toward automation, validating DoorDash’s contract source of truth, automated reconciliations and anomaly detection.

Provide oversight on commission rate changes and new merchant onboardings, ensuring adherence to established controls and policies

Guide investigations into mismatches, including reviewing root cause analysis, validating exposure assessments, and ensuring timely remediation

Oversee refunds, corrections, and rep outreach at scale, defining correction strategies that resolve exposure while protecting the merchant relationship

Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to build and enhance reconciliation data views, scripts, and SOPs, improving control efficiency and enabling scalable execution by junior team members

Own audit-ready documentation, with clear support for control conclusions and reviewer sign-off standards

Drive expansion of control scope to additional geographies and product areas, including defining approach, risks, and developing a scalable reconciliation framework

Identify systemic control gaps and recommend scalable process improvements

Synthesize and present control outcomes, key risks, and insights to Sales leadership, Engineering and Internal Audit

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within British Columbia.
