Salary Range (plus eligible to receive a performance based incentive, applicable to position): $119,935 - $162,265

Advanced statistical, risk management and modelling expertise required.

Lead the team responsible for supporting organizational strategy and financial and risk management. You’ll manage the development and maintenance of credit risk, adjudication, financial and regulatory models.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage all aspects of model development, maintenance, and monitoring, and ad hoc analysis
  • Determine approaches used, including variable selection and methodologies
  • Oversee the implementation of new or updated models, including engagement with internal partners
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Liase with industry experts and external consultants to understand industry best practices
  • Coach and mentor employees in a safe and supportive work environment, manage performance and help set goals and priorities
  • Leverage data modeling and reporting tools (e.g., dbt, Power BI, QuickSight, Marimo) to support monitoring and analysis
  • Quickly provide insights and ad hoc analysis to support business decision-making

What you’ll need:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science or mathematics and at least seven years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience); professional designation(s) (CFA, ASA, FSA) or a graduate degree is an asset
  • In-depth understanding of credit risk, adjudication, financial and regulatory risk modelling techniques
  • General knowledge of model management practices in financial organizations
  • Conceptual understanding of FCC’s technical architecture and business tools
  • Experience with data modeling and reporting tools (e.g., dbt, Power BI, QuickSight, Marimo) is an asset
