Working side by side with a strong team of well-respected accounting professionals, you will be engaged in a wide variety of interesting financial reporting and taxation matters, advising an excellent range of clients. As a Manager, Privately Held Business Group your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and executing client engagements under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors but with a focus on Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (“ASPE”)
• Contributing to new business development by understanding all Doane Grant Thornton services and by using your credibility in the field
• Acting as a leader by actively contributing to the development and execution of the office business plan
• Maximizing engagement profitability by effectively utilizing engagement resources
• Analysis and review of corporate and personal income tax returns, Compilations, Reviews and special reports
• Planning and leading teams to ensure that client expectations are exceeded
• Supervision and mentoring of an accounting team, including the review of files
• Engaging, coaching and developing talented professionals within the practice to maximize their potential for growth

To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $85,000–$95,000 in Courtenay, BC.
