Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Portfolio Management and based in Toronto, the Manager, Portfolio Management will play a key supporting role within the Canadian real estate team. This position will assist in the execution of portfolio and investment strategies and support the management of a large-scale, real estate portfolio across all asset classes in Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual asset management plans aligned with the portfolio’s investment strategies.
  • Support the preparation and review of quarterly reports on portfolio performance, strategic initiative progress, approval memorandums, and board presentations.
  • Assist in liaising with external stakeholders and internal teams (finance, accounting, asset management, sustainability, valuations) on portfolio-related matters.
  • Promote and support strong governance and compliance surrounding the management of the portfolio and stakeholders.
  • Prepare complex financial models in Argus and Excel to project cashflows and returns.
  • Conduct research assignments such as portfolio analyses, land ownership, sector assessments, entitlement reviews, and others on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Support preparation of opportunity summaries and investment memorandums for acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining strong relationships with joint-venture partners and other external stakeholders.
  • Address ad hoc investment-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Education & Experience
  • University degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field. Progress toward CFA, MBA, CPA, or AACI designation is an asset.
  • 3–5 years of experience in real estate asset/portfolio management, preferably within an institutional setting or advisory firm, with a solid understanding of real estate fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills including strong proficiency with ARGUS
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Power Query or Power BI is a strong asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability and corporate responsibility aligned with QuadReal’s values.
