An exciting opportunity for a Manager Policy, Strategy and Outreach has come about at the Legal Practice Board (Board). There is currently one permanent full time vacancy to be filled from this recruitment process.
The Board is a statutory body, responsible for the regulation of legal services in Western Australia and all Western Australian legal practitioners.
The Board aims to be a leader in the area of regulation and we pride ourselves on working with our stakeholders to ensure we have an engaged, active, competent, and ethical legal profession.
Reporting to the Director Corporate Service, the Manager leads the development and improvement of policies and systems to support the effective delivery of Board services. The position analyses internal and external data to identify trends, mitigate risk and to develop and implement an intelligence‑led risk management approach to support best practice regulatory outcomes and inform the Board’s priorities. This position develops a customer focused approach to support the legal profession and the community through the provision of information, education and professional development services.

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.
Subsequent Vacancies - While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Board or the wider public sector, or both, which arise within twelve months of the recruitment process being endorsed. In addition to this, if the successful applicant declines or vacates the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, permanent, part‑time or full‑time.
