The Department of Finance has the mandate to provide leadership and direction to the public service in all areas of finance and human resource management. The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Policy to provide leadership and direction in policy development, legislative initiatives, strategic planning, and ministerial support. This key role supports senior leadership and contributes directly to shaping programs, services, and legislative direction across the organization.
Reporting to the Director, Policy, Legislation and Communications, you'll lead exciting cross-government policy and legislative initiatives, provide high-level strategic advice to senior executives, and help guide decision-making at the Cabinet and Legislative Assembly level. The position supports both the Department of Finance and the Department of Executive and Indigenous Affairs and you'll be working closely with partners across government and beyond, engage diverse stakeholders, and mentor a talented policy team, and driving meaningful projects that support the GNWT's long-term goals.
