What’s the Opportunity?

As Manager, Payment Network Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of RBC’s operational relationships with one of the Credit Card Payment networks in Canada. You will also ensure that RBC is completing all required Supplier Management disciplines in our relationship with the network including completion of artefacts and activities such as the SRMA, PRA/DRA, SCA, SOC, etc. This role also assists in the resolution of complex issues/escalations between RBC and the Credit Card Payment networks by working with stakeholders from both RBC and the network. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert within RBC for the operations of the Payment Network and RBC integrations/interactions with the network. As a subject matter expert, you will support the identification and coordinate changes in the eco-system impacting RBC and our clients.

Please note that this is an in-office role with a minimum of 4 days in office per week at RBC Water Park Place in downtown Toronto.

What will you do?
  • Ensure positive operational relationships with the global payment networks that RBC works with to power our credit card payments business in Canada
  • Ensure the execution of the RBC Supplier Management process across RBC’s relationship with the Credit Card Payment Networks
  • Contribute to the completion of artefacts and activities such as the SRMA, PRA/DRA, SCA, SOC, through the RBC Supplier Management lifecycle
  • Ensure all identified supplier risks (Privacy, Info Security, etc.) created by our operations with the Credit Card Payment networks are documented and remediated in a timely manner, and supporting documentation is provided to stakeholders
  • Ensure the monitoring of Operational Metrics with the Payment Networks and where needed help your team to work with Credit Card Payment Networks to address any issues that arise
  • Develop strong and effective relationships with key business partners to ensure a strong linkage and clear line of sight on upcoming changes and transformational initiatives at both RBC and the Payment Networks that will impact the RBC Cards & Loyalty ecosystem
  • Work with the Payment Networks and key RBC stakeholders to resolve complex escalations involving the Payment Networks in a timely fashion
What you need to succeed?
Must have
  • Experience working in a complex, matrix environment and proactively managing a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Experience with the Operations of the Credit Card Payments eco-system
  • Canadian Banking Operations experience
  • Able to work in a less structured environment and handle ambiguity
  • Experience in working on projects, clarifying requirements, and understanding technical solutions
  • Out of the box thinker, with a growth mind-set
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Technologically self-sufficient with experience using MS Excel, Word, Power Point and SharePoint
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to accurately define problems, identify relevant factors and objectively consider alternatives and the impact of potential solutions
  • Excellent analytical mindset and keen ability to execute quality documentation
  • High level of initiative, be proactive, poses motivation and ability to influence change, executing with a sense of urgency
  • Strong understanding of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management
  • Strategic mindset and effective collaboration skills
