Job summary

Job Description

Due toGovernment of Canadaregulatory requirements, this position requiresthe successful completion ofa Government of Canada Reliability Status screeningas a condition of employment.The screeningprocess requires 5 years of verifiable background history.Thisincludes identity verification, educationverification, a criminal record check, andacredit check.Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Reliability Status, which generally requires Canadian citizenship or Canadian permanent resident status. Employment is contingent upon successful completion and maintenance of the required screening.

As a Manager, Network Reliability and Resiliency your responsibilities will be:

  • Team management, career development, project prioritization and performance review.
  • Drive a culture of intolerance to manual activities that promotes automation efforts.
  • Drive initiatives with partner teams to improve the reliability of the infrastructure.
  • Act as crisis management to orchestrate actions towards sustainable solutions.
  • Analysis and evaluation of existing processes to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies.
  • Provide training and support to partner teams that interface with SRE.
  • Onboarding of new hires to enable their success in their roles.
  • Onboarding of new technologies, systems and automations into the team.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • Hands-on technical skills in Linux, databases, systems and coding.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Design and implementation of monitoring solutions for large and scalable environments.
  • Experience with cloud operations, follow-the-sun and geographic distributed teams.
  • Experience working in software, platform and infrastructure delivered as a service.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods involving ITIL v3.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Uncompromising attention to detail.

  • RHCE, CCNA, ITIL or other industry certifications
Additional Information

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of$125,700 - $220,000,plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

We also offer health plans, an RRSP Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, family and medical leave programs and Annual vacation: 20 days per year, accrued every pay period at 6.67 hours.

Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
