Job description

About League

League is one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Canada and the leading healthcare experience platform. Getting healthcare is often the easy part - finishing it is where things fall apart: people book the appointment and skip the follow-up, fill the prescription and stop taking it, get the referral and never make the call. That gap costs health plans and health systems money, and it costs people their health. League closes that gap - identifying what each person needs to do next, clearing what’s in their way, and getting it done, for the 70 million+ people whose care already runs through our platform. Health plans and health systems trust us to do this at scale. Organizations like Manulife, SCAN, Geisinger, and Medibank on the payer side, and Baptist and Shoppers Drug Mart on the provider side.

Position Summary

The Manager, Marketing Programs & Events owns two connected things: League's flagship event, League CONNECT, and the year-round programs that engage the community of leaders who convene around it. Reporting to the Director, Brand Experience & Communications, this role goes beyond running a great event - it's about designing and stewarding an ongoing membership-style experience for a global community of healthcare leaders, of which CONNECT is the annual centrepiece. This person co-designs the community's full calendar: exclusive programming like thought leadership content, regional roundtables, and other member benefits that keep this group engaged with League and each other between CONNECT events. They combine event operations rigor with the relationship-building instincts of someone who has run or worked closely with a membership organization (e.g. YPO or similar) - comfortable with executive-level stakeholders, and able to think in terms of a member journey rather than a single event lifecycle. League's events and community programs are its most direct signal of market credibility, and the quality of this experience directly reflects our positioning as the world's leading platform for AI-driven healthcare CX.

What You'll Own
League CONNECT

Own end-to-end project management of League CONNECT alongside the Director, Brand Experience & Communications - League's primary brand moment and the community's flagship annual gathering. Own the attendee/member experience from registration through post-event, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the elevated, exclusive nature of the community. Own digital strategy and demand gen for the event, partnering with internal teams on promotional tactics (email, social, SMS) that drive registration, attendance, and engagement. Apply strong digital marketing instincts across the full event lifecycle so the digital experience is as considered and on-brand as the in-person one. Collaborate with the internal Events & Design team and external agency on event operations - budget tracking, timeline management, cross-functional coordination. Manage hotel, venue, and event agency relationships - room blocks, F&B, on-site logistics. Own on-site execution alongside the event agency - run-of-show, real-time troubleshooting, vendor coordination.

Community Program Design & Ownership

Co-design and own the annual calendar of programming for League's community of leaders - thought leadership content, regional roundtables, member-exclusive convenings, and other benefits that extend the community's engagement beyond CONNECT itself. Define and evolve what "membership" in this community means - value proposition, benefits tiering, cadence of touchpoints, and criteria for participation - in partnership with the Director, Brand Experience & Communications. Build relationships with community members between events; act as a consistent, recognizable point of contact who understands their priorities and can represent League with executive presence. Identify and program regional roundtables and smaller-format gatherings that deepen relationships with members in priority markets. Curate and manage thought leadership opportunities for members - speaking slots, content contributions, peer introductions - that reinforce their reason to stay engaged.

Event & Field Marketing Support

Support production and execution of Ignite, Power Up, and other owned events with the same operational rigor as CONNECT. Maintain consistent standards for vendor management, budget tracking, and on-site execution across all owned events. Support trade show and field marketing events where capacity allows - digital promotion, vendor coordination, on-site support, logistics.

What You'll Collaborate On

Partner closely with the Director, Brand Experience & Communications on community strategy, CONNECT planning, and program design - a highly collaborative relationship built on clear communication and tight handoffs. Partner with Brand Design on creative execution across owned events and community touchpoints - activations, signage, digital assets, branded collateral. Partner with sales and growth teams on enablement to drive registration, event education, and tracking against event and pipeline goals. Coordinate with the Content Team on programming-to-logistics handoffs, and on thought leadership content produced for/with community members. Work with the ABX team to align invitation strategy and on-site activation to account priorities.

Bonus points for B2B or enterprise SaaS marketing experience, and experience in healthcare, health tech, or a regulated industry is an asset.

This role may not be for you if… You prefer staying at the strategic altitude and find operational details draining - this role lives in both worlds, and both event execution and member relationship-building require sweating the details. You like long lead times and predictable plans - we move fast, priorities shift, and you'll need to stay calm and organized when they do. You'd rather own a single workstream deeply than juggle many at once - this role spans event operations and year-round community programming simultaneously.
