Manager, M&A Integration, Integration Management Office (12 month contract)

As an organization aiming to achieve its bold inorganic growth strategy, we are seeking a Manager to join the Integration Management Office (IMO) as part of the Corporate Strategy team. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Strategy, the successful candidate will join Definity’s IMO team, which is facilitating and guiding post-merger integration activities for the recently announced acquisition to help Definity achieve its strategic objectives. The Manager will support the executive reporting function within the IMO, providing support to the team to deliver executive-level communication on the progress of integration to the Executive team, Board of Directors, Executive Sponsor meetings, and internal stakeholders. This is a 12-month contract role with opportunity for extension and is an individual contributor role.

What to expect
  • Create executive reporting and communications to the senior leadership team and the Board on integration topics and updates
  • Support the Integration Management Office (IMO) in planning, coordinating, and delivering the post-merger integration by ensuring effective collaboration with stakeholders across multiple disciplines and functional areas
  • Create strategic and tactical presentation decks to senior management that communicate M&A integration progress and risks effectively and succinctly
  • Create and maintain comprehensive detailed documentation including action plans, status reports and playbooks
  • Critical member of the team producing high-impact presentations to senior management - opportunity to leverage consulting toolkit in a real-world high-growth environment

  • Support facilitation of workshops with broad range of functional stakeholders and identify cross-functional issues, dependencies, and risks for resolution
What you bring
  • 2-4 years of experience working either at: (i) a top tier management consulting firm (post-merger integration experience is a bonus) or (ii) as part of an Integration Management Office at a large financial services company
  • Exceptional written presentation skills, with the ability to prepare informative and impactful presentation decks to express complex ideas graphically
  • Acute attention to detail and strong commitment to producing excellent work products
  • Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical, and critical thinking
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint required; working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and/or other executive reporting tools is an asset
  • Desire to work for a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment with magnified opportunities for on-the job learning and feedback
  • Undergraduate degree at a leading university, with high proven achievement
  • Insurance industry experience is not necessary

Salary range is: $77,100 - $142,000
