Role and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Manager Loan Support to join our Lending Operations team for a full-time 12-month term role. Reporting to the AVP Loan Portfolio & System Administration, the Manager Loan Support provides strategic and operational leadership for the Credit Union’s loan administration and mortgage operations. This role oversees both the Loan Support and Mortgage & Registration teams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the full lending lifecycle.

The Manager Loan Support plays a key role in supporting staff development, optimizing lending support processes, and delivering an exceptional member and employee experience. This role supports business growth and ensures alignment with the credit union’s strategy, values, and regulatory requirements.

This role is eligible to work out of any Prosperity service location and travel to other service locations is required.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Loan Support Supervisor and the Mortgage & Registration Analysts
  • Support, coach, and develop high-performing teams with a focus on service excellence, consistency, and collaboration
  • Foster a positive, member-focused culture aligned with Prosperity’s values of integrity, service, and community
Loan & Mortgage Administration
  • Lead the administration of loans and mortgages, including funding, renewals, discharges, and registration processes
  • Oversee administration of internal, provincial, and federal lending programs
  • Manage lending products, including creation, testing, deployment, and resolution of system issues
  • Provide system administration and technical expertise for lending platforms and related applications
  • Oversee the administration and review of syndicated loans and the second-file check process, reporting findings and recommendations
Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Develop, implement, and maintain lending and mortgage policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, including AML/ATF, Privacy, Market Code, and Credit Union regulatory standards
  • Act as the Business Unit Compliance Officer (BUCO) for assigned lending support areas and manage audit responses
Strategic Alignment & Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels
  • Collaborate with Lending Leadership, Retail Network teams, and other departments to support strategic initiatives, system enhancements, and operational alignment
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on lending-related pricing, process enhancements, and product improvements
Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in lending, loan administration, or credit support roles, including leadership responsibilities
  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of lending systems, credit administration, regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing operational teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
