A financial services provider in Toronto is seeking a strong analytical professional for a hybrid role focused on the LICAT system. Reporting to the AVP & Actuary, Capital Management, the position will initially focus on supporting a high-profile System Redesign Project to enhance Manulife’s Life Insurance Capital Adequacy Test (LICAT) system. Over time, the role will evolve to take on broader leadership responsibilities as the primary business lead for the LICAT system in 2026. The LICAT system is a complex and business-critical platform, requiring strong analytical skills and close coordination with IT and business stakeholders to ensure its continued reliability and adaptability.
Capital Management, part of the Actuarial function, oversees the company’s global capital policy and performance. In collaboration with key business partners, the team ensures the company maintains a strong LICAT capital position and meets regulatory, rating agency, and internal expectations. Responsibilities include Canadian capital regulatory filings to OSFI and senior management reporting on various aspects of capital.
