Job description

We are looking for a Manager, Inventory and Logistics who can motivate the team to drive agility and best practices, and achieve business goals including revenue, profit, and growth through continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Director, Supply Chain, this role will mentor the team and manage Logistics, Inventory, and Warehousing. The role involves refining workflows and recommending improvements to productivity, quality, and efficiency.

A typical day as Manager, Inventory and Logistics includes:
  1. Manage the Logistics team
  2. Approve and audit 3PL and freight invoices
  3. Lead inventory management across multiple locations and warehouses
  4. Troubleshoot problem LCBO loads
  5. Maintain cross-functional relationships with internal teams
  6. Ensure logistics KPIs of on-time/in-full are achieved
  7. Audit the marketplace for efficient lanes/rates and new partnership opportunities
  8. Maintain positive relationships with logistics partners
  9. Oversee creation, implementation, and maintenance of SOPs for inbound/outbound logistics and inventory management
How your time will be organized:
  1. Overseeing Logistics duties (40%)
    • Manage physical inventory transfers
    • Handle shipments to customers
    • Complete internal logistics service requests
    • Book return shipments
    • Assist inside sales with order processing
  2. Overseeing Inventory duties (40%)
    • Conduct month-end reconciliations
    • Investigate variances and escalations
    • Achieve inventory KPIs
    • Develop procedures for inventory efficiencies
  3. Warehouse Management (20%)
    • Ensure timely, complete orders
    • Liaise with warehouse staff
    • Manage warehouse systems (EDI, ERP)
    • Maintain SOPs for warehouse operations

  • Define and implement effective supply chain strategies
  • Prepare strategies, documentation, and recommendations for supply chain improvements
We’re looking for candidates who:
  • Have strategic and analytical skills to proactively address inventory issues
  • Possess excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Have experience in analytics, problem-solving, team building, and project management
  • Can interface effectively with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service
  • Are capable of cross-functional collaboration and project delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering; higher education is a plus
  • 3-4 years of management experience in a growing manufacturing organization
  • Experience in the CPG industry is an asset
