You’ll deliver customized tax strategies, manage client engagements and mentor staff while navigating a complex regulatory environment and foreign operations.

You’ll collaborate with diverse professionals to minimize global tax liabilities, ensure compliance, and support innovative planning across jurisdictions as part of a dynamic Canadian firm.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Enrollment in the CPA In Depth Tax program.
• 4–5 years in public accounting or tax consulting.
• Knowledge of corporate tax in International Tax.
• Experience with international tax compliance and reorganizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing engagement teams on tax planning and global minimization.
• Provide offshore tax expertise through client interactions and deliverables.
• Advise on optimal corporate structures from tax perspective across countries.
• Perform due diligence or modeling for acquisitions overseas.
• Manage a client portfolio, understanding business risks and value drivers.
• Oversee engagement planning, budgeting, billing and cash collection.
• Network in local business community and contribute to proposals.
• Contribute to process improvements and innovative approaches.
• Mentor and coach team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead client facing engagement teams responsible for advice on tax planning opportunities, worldwide tax minimization strategies, and compliance issues for Canadian entities carrying on business in foreign countries
• Deliver technical expertise relating to complex offshore tax issues through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and high quality deliverables
• Assist organizations in determining the most effective corporate structure from a tax perspective in different countries
• Perform due diligence or modeling related to potential acquisitions by Canadian entities of international subsidiaries, partnerships or business operations
• Manage a portfolio of clients while understanding their business, key risks and ways to deliver added value
• Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e. budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection and variance recognition
• Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs
• Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
• Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development

Skills And Experience

• CPA designation
• Enrollment in the CPA In Depth Tax program
• 4 to 5 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience
• Working knowledge of corporate tax including consulting, compliance and research within International Tax
• Experience preparing and reviewing international tax compliance and tax reorganizations
