Position Purpose

The Manager, Human Resources supports the full scope of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits, compliance, and culture initiatives. Serving as a key point of contact for employees and managers, this role ensures smooth HR operations, promotes engagement, and upholds Prime Quadrant’s PATH values—Purposeful, Authentic, Tenacious, and Humble.

Specific Accountabilities
  • Support hiring managers with job postings, initial screenings, and candidate communications
  • Coordinate reference checks and background verification
  • Prepare and manage employment agreements and onboarding documentation
  • Oversee established onboarding process
  • Coordinate the intern program & funding
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related concerns
  • Coordinate regular HR check-ins and feedback sessions
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with internal policies and employment law
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, including outside activities and conflict of interest disclosures
  • Support health and safety compliance and reporting structures
  • Assist and eventually manage benefits enrollment and updates including liaising with benefit providers in Canada and the US
  • Assist with payroll and compensation tracking including managing payroll administrators in Canada and the US
  • Contribute to Culture & Engagement activities led by the Social Committee
  • Support internal communications and deliver training resources around HR programs and updates
  • Promote Prime Quadrant’s PATH values—Purposeful, Authentic, Tenacious, and Humble
  • Participate in HR budget reviews and planning meetings
  • Participate in setting annual objectives, goals, and projects for the HR function
  • Collaborate with external HR advisors and consultants as needed
  • Coordinate coaching & leadership training schedule
Knowledge, Skills & Technical Ability
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Behaviour, or a related field; CHRP designation (or working towards) is an asset
  • 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or coordinator capacity
  • Knowledge of employment standards, HR best practices, and health & safety compliance
  • Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, and benefits administration
  • Program owner mindset with strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Reputation as a “good listener”; able to build trust, serve as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers and action feedback thoughtfully
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is an asset
  • Preferred qualification: comfortable using data to measure progress and success of HR programs
