Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) seeks a Manager, Governance to coordinate corporate governance processes, boards and committees, and related records. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the role ensures timely materials, compliance, and follow‑up on governance actions across IRC entities.
This position emphasizes Indigenous governance practices and community needs, with relocation support for eligible candidates and in‑office work in Inuvik, Northwest Territories.

Established in 1984 to manage the settlement outlined in the Inuvialuit Final Agreement (IFA), Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) represents the collective interests of Inuvialuit. IRC’s goal is to continually improve the economic, social and cultural wellbeing of the Inuvialuit through implementation of the IFA and by all other available means. Through strong partnerships and community‑driven programs, the organization supports economic growth, cultural preservation and opportunities for current and future generations.
Inuvialuit beneficiaries directly control IRC and its subsidiaries through a democratic process of elected directors from each of the six community corporations with chairs at the IRC Board, a process originally outlined in the IFA.
The Manager, Governance is responsible for coordinating and administering corporate governance processes, board and committee operations, and related corporate records. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the position supports effective governance practices, timely and accurate decision-making materials, compliance with applicable requirements, and consistent follow-up on governance actions. The Manager also provides practical governance support to IRC entities and community corporations, with attention to Indigenous governance practices and community needs.
