Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of fund operations and accounting in Canada and North America.

• Highly organized self-starter with ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the implementation of Canadian Operations projects and initiatives, including post-implementation support.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand the scope, requirements, and impact of requests, and coordinate project-related tasks and activities with internal and external teams.
• Identify operational or business risks associated with initiative implementation, create impact assessments, mitigate where applicable, and communicate risks to leadership and downstream operations.
• Ensure all fund system setups align with project requirements.
• Liaise with custodians and valuation agents to communicate project requirements.
• Review operating models, develop workflows, and recommend implementation strategies.
• Document process improvement projects and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Develop tools, practices, and controls to improve operational efficiency and information quality.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders.
• Ensure each initiative complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Manulife's Fund Events team is seeking a dynamic Manager to support the GWAM Canada business.

In this role, you will provide expert operational support to help ensure the successful implementation of initiatives impacting Canadian Wealth Operations. You will apply your knowledge of fund operations and accounting across Canada and North America to assess risk, financial, accounting, and downstream operational impacts while building strong stakeholder relationships. Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree specialization in accounting or finance.
• CPA or CFA designation.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between

$88,800.00 CAD - $138,800.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
