Job summary

RBC Bedford, Canada seeks a Manager of Business Operations Support to oversee the ongoing management of FIBRS (Financial Business Rules system), with a focus on Calculations rules. You will partner with stakeholders to identify enhancements driving Finance System efficiency and accuracy.

The role requires deep knowledge of RBC finance platforms (EPM, FIBRS, PeopleSoft), strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment focused on risk and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shared service team responsible for processing FiBRS business rules transactions.
• As SME, collaborate with business partners to identify new requirements and drive Finance System improvements related to FIBRS rules.
• Validate impact of changes on financial reporting; lead UAT planning, execution, and provide client sign-off results.
• Verify weekly/monthly reports for completeness and accuracy of FIBRS rules.
• Contribute to Knowledge Management and support cross-training within the team.
• Participate in SOX audit activities to ensure controls compliance.

What will you do?

• Manage the shared service team responsible for processing FiBRS business rules transactions.
• As subject matter expert (SME), work with our business partners to identify new requirement opportunities to drive Finance System improvements and efficiencies related to FIBRS rules
• Validate the impact of business rule changes to financial reporting, lead user acceptance test plan creation & execution and provide clients with UAT results for signoff
• Validate weekly/monthly reports to ensure completeness & accuracy of FIBRS business rules
• Proactively contribute content to Knowledge Management tool to contribute to an efficient support environment and actively support cross training within shared service team
• Participate in all SOX audit activities in support of finance systems ensuring compliance to all controls.

Must-have

• Previous knowledge of RBC finance systems and tools (i.e. EPM, FIBRS and PeopleSoft)
• Detail oriented, analytical, can work independently and is a fast learner
• Change mindset and ability to apply a process improvement lens to all BAU activities
• Good communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills
• Proven time management, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-have

• Strong technical proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, VB lookups)
• Experience with writing process documentation
