Overview

Manager, FP&A at a glance

Location: Toronto, ON | Hybrid (3 days in-office)

The Finance Manager, FP&A for the Canada Business Unit is responsible for the full P&L and for driving the monthly FP&A agenda. The role also supports the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Planning cycles for their respective platform. This team member is a key link between the Marketing, Sales Planning, and cross-functional Finance teams, and reports directly to the Associate Director of FP&A + Strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead FP&A for Canada, with oversight of all categories and responsible for understanding and influencing both revenue and cost drivers (full P&L responsibility)
  • Execute the monthly actualization process including P&L variance analyses, insights, and issue resolution
  • Support the Demand Review process including partnering with marketers on demand forecast inputs and validating driver assumptions
  • Run the monthly forecasting process to project and explain financial performance on a rolling 18-month basis
  • Support the build of the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plans
  • Analytical assistance on business results and achieving financial targets via data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Modeling, analytics, and preparation of management summaries and presentations
  • All other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field, MBA a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience, in a complex environment with escalating levels of responsibility. CPG experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, understanding of financial statements and broad business acumen as well as strong Excel technical skills desired
  • Prior Function, Category, Corporate FP&A and/or BU experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work autonomously and think independently
  • Ability to coach, develop and help team prioritize

Compensation and Benefits

New Hire Base Salary Range: $88,660.00 - $0.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
