Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced senior financial due diligence professional to lead and participate in acquisitions and divestitures for clients in Canada and the US. You will evaluate targets, perform valuation-related analyses, and guide deal structuring with cross-functional teams.

The role requires bilingualism in French and English, CPA/CA credentials, and a track record in diligence, GAAP compliance, and data visualization. Travel within North America may be required.

Qualifications

Bilingual in French and English is required.
Minimum 6 years of experience including 2 years of diligence experience.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting and/or related major.
CPA or CA certification (or equivalent).
Advanced Excel proficiency.
PowerBI and Alteryx familiarity preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel within Canada and the US.

Responsibilities

Participate in and lead due diligence engagements for acquisitions or divestments by private equity investors and strategic buyers.
Analyze financial and operational results of targets using accounting records and management interviews.
Identify and quantify GAAP issues related to target valuation.
Prepare and evaluate pro forma financial information.
Analyze carve-out issues for buy-side or sell-side projects.
Identify issues for purchase price reductions, deal structuring or termination.
Identify post-acquisition and divestiture action steps.
Evaluate effects of seasonality on cash flow requirements.
Perform industry and company research.
Correlate due diligence findings with client valuations and manage service expectations.
Develop people by supervising staff, providing feedback and training, and conducting performance reviews.
Build strong relationships across service lines and manage cross-functional collaboration and delivery.
