Job summary

A recruitment service provider is looking for a candidate to oversee global commission accounting and manage compensation accounting in Peel Region, Mississauga. The ideal applicant has a CPA CA designation, 3+ years of managerial accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel. This role offers a pay rate of $55 per hour for a candidate based in the GTA with the right to work in Canada.

  • Experience interpreting complex contracts.
  • Solid understanding of SOX compliance.

About the Opportunity
  • Oversee global commission accounting, including contract assessment, revenue recognition, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and distribute quarterly commission statements
  • Manage compensation accounting and related financial disclosures.
  • Review and approve payroll entries, including accruals and expatriate arrangements.
  • Oversee fringe benefits accounting, perform variance analysis, and maintain SOX compliance across payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with HR, Sales, and other Finance teams on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage intercompany reporting and ensure accuracy of consolidated financial transactions.
  • Supervise one SFA and provide leadership and guidance.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as needed.
About You
  • Accounting Designation – CPA CA preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a managerial accounting role within a large/global organization or audit firm.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; experience interpreting complex contracts.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel;
  • Experience in payroll and benefits accounting is an asset
Pay Rate

$55 / Hour
