Job Description

Leads a wide range of projects with a focus on evidence synthesis (i.e., structured/targeted literature reviews, systematic literature reviews, indirect treatment comparison feasibility assessments, and health technology assessment landscape/gap assessments). Other projects may include health economics and/or value communications projects as well as working alongside other team members and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project-related

  • Execute projects that exceed client expectations while remaining on-time, on-budget
  • Determine and manage project scope, timelines, budget for several competing projects
  • Develop and review materials for accuracy, consistency, quality, and conformity to EVERSANA standards
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans

Methodological-related

  • Provide leadership to ensure projects are underpinned by rigorous processes and defendable methods
  • Ensure projects adhere to high standards of statistical analysis

Client-related

  • Build relationships with clients that result in ongoing business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for future collaborations

Company-related

  • Develop and communicate company policies and standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate and participate in team-based and independent training
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to junior staff
  • Develop proposals, budgets, and timelines
  • Promote a positive and energetic work environment through healthy and effective communication, a strong work ethic, and professional conduct
  • Identify and develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • All other duties as assigned

Expectations of the Job

Travel: Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Overtime and/or weekend/evening hours may be required to meet project deadlines

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education: Bachelor’s or higher-level university degree in a medical or life science-related field such as biology, biochemistry, physiology, epidemiology, pharmacology, or health economics AND/OR direct work experience in health research, health economics, or a related field

Experience and/or Training: Minimum of four (4) years’ direct work experience in evidence synthesis, health economics, health technology assessment, or a related field; at least 3 years’ experience with conducting structured/targeted and/or systematic literature reviews; knowledge of industry standards and guidelines (PRISMA, Cochrane); knowledge of various health technology assessment agency standards and guidelines (CDA, NICE); detailed understanding of the steps in a structured/targeted and systematic literature review; strong attention to detail; strong basis in fundamental evidence synthesis concepts and methods; strong critical thinking, analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking capabilities; ability to communicate effectively (spoken and written), in non-technical terms, with project team members and clients; work well in a team as well as independently and be able to take leadership role with regard to methodological elements in projects; proven ability to manage multiple priorities, demands, and timelines in a fast‑paced environment; proven ability to manage personal and project team members’ time across competing projects; ability to identify and respond to different communication and work styles of team members and contractors; demonstrated leadership, teambuilding and team‑motivating skills; demonstrated planning and decision‑making skills; proven relationship building capabilities; developing and maintaining strong client relationships, effectively interacting with peers

Technology/Equipment

Technically competent with Microsoft® Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), EndNote, and role‑related software (DistillerSR or similar tools such as Nested Knowledge, Covidence)

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Environment

Office: Employee frequently needs to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Noise level is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

Additional Information

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 and applies to locations in Canada. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location. EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
