Position Title: Manager, Events and Sponsorships

Reports to: Senior Manager, Events & Sponsorships

Duration: Full time, Permanent

Location: Montreal, Canada

The Manager, Events and Sponsorships is responsible for supporting ACI World’s events financial success with a focus on sponsorships and direct outreach to current customers and new clients. Duties include seeking sponsorships for ACI World events, coordinating corporate wide sponsorship proposals and liaising with the internal team to assist in tracking objectives and deliverables. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop new networks with potential clients by attending various industry events, as well as coordinate the logistics behind webinars and booth sales.

I. Major Functions Responsibilities
  • Working with internal events and product teams to support sponsorship revenue targets
  • Participating in the sale of exhibition space and sponsorships at ACI World events
  • Creating event sponsorship and exhibitor’s prospectus
  • Implementing and maintaining an accurate, up-to-date sales master file and using the CRM as an integral tool in building business intelligence.
  • Managing and coordinating follow-up actions to signed sponsorship agreements, ensuring deliverables are met within the determined timeframe.
  • Answering customers’ prospectus questions and queries promptly and collaborating and strategizing with internal teams.
  • Identifying new market opportunities and forging relationships with key contacts with a goal of creating sponsorship revenue.
  • Representing ACI at selected events to develop new networks with potential clients
  • Supporting the Manager, Events in logistics and planning of events including liaising with suppliers, contract management, travel booking etc.
  • Coordinate the rehearsals, logistics and rollout of various ACI webinars with internal subject matter experts and sponsors
II. Education / Experience
  • University degree, preferably with specialization in communications, business or commerce studies.
  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in sales and customer service
  • Excellent English skills, with clear writing style is essential.
  • Additional languages such as French, or Spanish, will be considered an asset.
III. Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and practices a strong asset.
  • Teamwork skills, but with ability to work independently and assume full responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and ability to think strategically.
  • Superior organizational skills to carry out and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong public relations ability and aptitude for fostering positive relationships.
  • Teamwork skills, but with ability to work independently and assume full responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry would be an advantage.
