About the Position

Walters is seeking a Manager, Enterprise Applications & Data to lead the strategy, management, and optimization of the company’s enterprise applications, integrations, and data platforms. This role serves as the primary business-facing leader for technology outside of technical services, ensuring our ERP, operational systems, integrations, reporting tools, and data governance frameworks support business growth and decision-making.

While this is a leadership position with a team of analysts, developers, and specialists reporting in, we are seeking someone who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and being hands-on, whether that means configuring applications, troubleshooting integrations, or working directly with business stakeholders to solve problems. The ideal candidate will blend strategic vision with practical execution, driving enterprise technology initiatives while ensuring reliable, day-to-day value delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Applications: Own day-to-day management of enterprise systems including ERP and other operational applications.
  • Oversee lifecycle management, upgrades, licensing, customizations and vendor relationships for enterprise applications.
  • Partner with business units to capture requirements and deliver enhancements that improve efficiency and workflows.
  • Provide high-level escalated support for complex system issues.
  • Systems Integration & Data Flow: Lead the design and maintenance of system integrations across ERP, reporting platforms, and third-party solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms through well-governed data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Services team to ensure secure and scalable integration architecture.
  • Reporting, BI & Data Governance: Develop and manage the enterprise reporting strategy, tools, and dashboards.
  • Partner with leadership teams to define KPIs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Establish master data governance, ensuring high data quality and standardization.
  • Drive adoption of self-service analytics across the business.
  • Leadership & Business Partnership: Lead, mentor, and develop the applications and data team, setting clear goals and supporting their growth.
  • Serve as the go-to partner for departmental leaders across Operations, Finance, Engineering, and HR for applications and data needs.
  • Support the Director of IT in aligning enterprise applications and data strategy with executive priorities.
  • Drive cross-functional projects to implement new applications or major upgrades, ensuring strong communication between IT and the business.
