Job summary

Water Security Agency Moose Jaw is seeking a Manager of Drainage Extension to lead a team delivering extension services that promote responsible drainage practices and oversee the Agriculture Water Management regulatory program.

This role drives the development of extension strategies, educational resources, outreach initiatives, and partnerships that support effective program delivery and an exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree required in Agriculture, Business, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Regional Planning or similar.
  • Eight years of progressively more responsible experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for developing and delivering extension services related to drainage practices and regulatory program.
  • Develop extension strategies, educational resources, outreach initiatives, and partnerships to support effective program delivery and client experience.
  • Collaborate across the organization and with industry partners, government agencies, consultants, and producer groups to identify priorities and improve processes.
  • Provide leadership to a team of professional and technical staff and manage operational resources.

Education

This position will lead a team responsible for developing and delivering extension services that help clients understand responsible drainage practices and the Agriculture Water Management regulatory program. This role drives the development of extension strategies, educational resources, outreach initiatives, and partnerships that support effective program delivery and an exceptional client experience.

As a leader within the Agriculture Water Management branch, you will collaborate across the organization and with industry partners, government agencies, consultants, and producer groups to identify priorities, improve processes, and advance responsible drainage practices.

You will provide leadership to a team of professional and technical staff, foster a high-performing and safe workplace culture, manage operational resources, and champion continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is client-focused, collaborative, innovative, and an exceptional communicator with strong leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

The candidate will have a degree in Agriculture, Business, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Regional Planning or similar discipline and 8 years of progressively more responsible experience.

This role is subject to a satisfactory criminal record check.
