As a Tax Manager in our Domestic Tax team, you’ll work with a wide variety of clients and build your experience in new industries. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across service lines such as Assurance, Advisory and Specialty Tax to broaden your perspective and deliver personalized solutions.

As a Tax Manager, you’ll help our clients with corporate tax planning to realize tax savings and incentives. Here’s what you’ll get to do:

  • Coaching and mentoring a team of tax colleagues on compliance, helping them understand client needs by discussing tax planning options
  • Establish deep trusting relationships with clients as you advise them on complex tax matters
  • Prepare files for corporate reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, succession and estate planning, and manage T2 and T3 returns
  • Proactively resolve tax-related issues with clients and other team members
  • Act as a leader in managing and growing the tax practice by identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services

A typical day…
You’ll interact with clients and colleagues to uncover client pain points and provide tax solutions, guiding coachees and supporting client service delivery. You may have quick discussions with team members across different tax groups and plan for upcoming client meetings.

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Tax Manager? Here are some additional qualifications we’re hoping you have:

  • You’re enrolled in, or have completed, the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, or have a Masters of Taxation
  • You’ve developed and presented new ideas and conceptualized tax solutions for clients as part of delivering exceptional service
  • Solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax planning and/or compliance
  • You’ve mentored and developed others

We’re committed to fair, equitable and competitive compensation. The current base salary for this role ranges from $72,500 to $100,000 in Kelowna, BC. If this role is available in another location, the salary range may vary by geography.
