Job description
Description

Skip is known nationally for market-leading restaurant delivery and continues to expand into a growing network of partners across retail, grocery, pharmacy, and more, including some of Canada’s largest retailers.

The Digital Merchandising Manager is responsible for advancing Skip’s digital merchandising experience across all customer touchpoints. This role focuses on managing, enhancing, and evolving how partners, products, and brands are merchandised digitally to drive discovery, engagement, and conversion.

The scope of the role includes elevating the main homepage merchandising experience, where partners and brands are featured, as well as optimizing the in-store partner page experience, including item-level merchandising and discoverability.

As a people leader, this role leads and develops a team of Content Merchandising Specialists, setting the vision, standards, and operating rhythm for digital merchandising across Skip. Working closely with brands and internal partners, the role also leads promotional merchandising initiatives that balance customer value, partner objectives, and business performance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and continuously evolve Skip’s digital merchandising strategy across all customer touchpoints, ensuring partners, products, and brands are presented in a compelling, intuitive, and conversion-driven way.

  • Drive the visual merchandising experience across Skip, including homepage partner and brand features, curated collections, catalogues, and in-store partner pages with item-level merchandising and discoverability.

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Content Merchandising Specialists, setting clear priorities, quality standards, and performance expectations while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

  • Plan, build, and execute merchandise-driven promotions in close collaboration with brands, Partnership Managers, and internal stakeholders to drive customer engagement, conversion, and incremental growth.

  • Partner cross-functionally with external brand teams and internal teams such as Brand Partnerships, Marketing, Product & Technology (P&T), Data Analytics, and Operations to ensure digital merchandising initiatives are aligned, executable, and delivered at scale.

  • Use data, customer insights, and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing) to inform merchandising decisions, optimize placement and presentation, and continuously improve performance.

  • Act as the subject‑matter expert on Skip’s digital merchandising capabilities, identifying opportunities to enhance tooling, processes, and ways of working.

  • Own quarterly and seasonal merchandising planning, ensuring timely execution, clear merchandising intent, and strong partner representation across Skip’s platforms.

  • Measure and report on performance, conducting post‑launch and post‑promotion analyses to assess impact against key metrics such as discovery, conversion, order volume, and partner outcomes.

  • Operate with flexibility in a fast‑evolving business, remaining open to changes in scope, responsibilities, and priorities as Skip continues to grow, launch new initiatives, and evolve its partner ecosystem.

  • Champion a customer‑first mindset, ensuring digital merchandising decisions enhance clarity, relevance, and ease of shopping for customers.

Recipe for Success
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital merchandising, eCommerce, retail or site merchandising, or digital marketing within a multi‑partner or retail environment.

  • Experience leading or managing a team, with the ability to set direction, prioritize effectively, and drive high‑quality execution.

  • Proven experience working with brands or external partners, including building and executing merchandise‑driven promotions.

  • Strong capability in owning and evolving visual and digital merchandising experiences across homepage, collections, catalogues, and item‑level surfaces.

  • Highly data‑literate, with the ability to use performance metrics, customer insights, and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing) to inform decisions.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, adapting scope, priorities, and ways of working as the business grows.

  • A customer‑first mindset with a strong eye for visual presentation, clarity, and discoverability.

  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.
