Job summary

Atlantic Lottery is seeking a Manager, Development Services to lead high-performing software development teams building AL's web, mobile, and integration platforms serving players across Atlantic Canada. You will shape delivery practices, develop talent, and drive the evolution of our digital capabilities.

In this role, you will partner with Product, Architecture, Operations and business leaders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in software development, application delivery, or technology solutions roles.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams and delivery functions.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale web, mobile, or digital solutions in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and software quality management.
  • Ability to build relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead software development and technical leadership teams to deliver digital products and initiatives.
  • Oversee delivery of digital platforms, enhancements, and technology initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Architecture, and stakeholders to prioritize work and manage capacity.
  • Champion Agile and DevOps practices to improve team effectiveness and time-to-market.
  • Guide technical decision-making and continuous improvement for development practices, automation, and security.
  • Act as escalation point for complex delivery challenges and dependencies.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in software development, application delivery, or technology solutions roles.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, software development teams, or technology delivery functions.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale web, mobile, or digital solutions in an Agile environment.
  • Experience working with modern software development practices, including DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and software quality management.
  • Experience building collaborative relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience balancing strategic planning, team development, and delivery execution in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older and reside in Atlantic Canada.

Work Location & Flexibility

This role is full-time in-office. It may be based out of one of our Atlantic Canadian offices: Moncton, NB; Dartmouth, NS; or St. John's, NL.

Compensation
  • Salary Band: $94,000 - $152,750
  • Expected Hiring Range: $112,000 - $130,000 (based on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity)

Role Commitment

Internal applicants must be in good standing, including meeting expectations on their most recent performance review, and must not be on probation. Consideration may also include factors such as performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, attendance, and completion of mandatory training.

A Predictive Index (PI) assessment will be completed or shared with the hiring leader as part of the evaluation process.
