  • Design and refine credit risk strategies using predictive modeling, advanced analytics, and business rules to drive portfolio growth and resilience.
  • Lead strategic initiatives that enhance ROE through risk-adjusted pricing, capital efficiency, and portfolio optimization.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor strategy performance and implement data-driven enhancements to improve results.
  • Conduct deep-dive statistical analyses to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities—translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Ensure strategies align with enterprise risk appetite and regulatory standards, support audits and governance forums.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to cross-functional teams including credit, finance, product, and operations.
  • Support change management efforts, including readiness assessments, testing, and seamless implementation of new strategies.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy and maintain a forward-looking approach.
  • Champion innovation and creative thinking to deliver differentiated credit strategies that drive growth and competitive advantage.
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, or a related discipline; Advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in credit strategy development, risk analytics, portfolio management or related analytics field.
  • Strong understanding of credit products, risk systems, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering strategic outcomes.
  • Expertise in ROE analysis and implementing strategies that enhance financial performance.
  • Advanced technical skills in SAS, SQL, Python, or R.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business lines.
  • High initiative, adaptability, and ownership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Salary: $69,000.00 - $129,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
