Job summary

TD in Toronto seeks a Manager, Creative Practice (Level 10) to support Tier 1 campaign creative development and production, and lead Tier 2 and 3 efforts with external agencies. This role drives world-class creative quality and brand consistency across campaigns, coordinating with the Senior Manager and cross-functional teams.

The position requires 7–10 years in advertising, strong strategic and analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Strategic thinker who proactively resolves problems and negotiates positively.
  • Superior communication skills across stakeholders.
  • Bilingual in French/English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Creative Practice objective is todrive world class creative quality and brand consistencyleading to top-of-mind brand awareness and consideration. The team consists of subject matter experts with commercial acumen who provide strategic advice, expert creative guidance, proficient project management and flawless execution. They ensure a holistic view of the overall communications strategy, creative development and production of TV/Video and development of all secondary creative requirements for all tiered campaigns. They lead the Agency relationships and build connections with our Line of Business marketers to understand business objectives and deliver strategies and campaigns that achieve those objectives.

The Manager, Creative Practice (Level 10) will support Tier 1 campaign creative development and production, as well as lead Tier 2 and 3 creative development and production with external agencies.

Job Description/Accountabilities:

  1. Consult on integrated campaigns, including the development of communication strategy, evaluation, and stewardship of creative development, with consideration to the Brand Customer Value Proposition.
  2. Support the Senior Manager, Creative Practice, on all TV shoots and production requirements.
  3. Lead and/or support creative brief development for tier 2 and 3 campaign work.
  4. Lead and/or support communication strategy across all tier 2 and 3 campaigns.
  5. Knowledgeable on industry/market trends and experts in the craft of creative execution.
  6. Present and influence at executive levels.
  7. Versed in tracking/measurement requirements, followed by input to post implementation reports.
  8. Collaborate with Customer Insights team to ensure key messages are relevant, clear and drive desired results.
  9. Collaborate with Agencies and Customer Insights team on research results, providing recommendations to present.
  10. Lead agency relationships to foster collaboration, inspire great work, drive efficiency, and practice financial discipline.
  11. Build and maintain close working relationships with key partners to understand and influence business strategies.
  12. Manage line of business Scope of Work and retainer utilization.
  13. Apply learnings and insight to campaigns on an ongoing basis to gain efficiency.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  1. Minimum 7-10 years\' experience in advertising

  9. Must be an imaginative, enthusiastic marketer with a commitment to delivering measurable results and a proven ability to manage projects to successful completion.
  10. Project management acumen; proactive with effective time management skills; ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and keep key stakeholders informed.
  11. Team oriented – with a desire to contribute positively to the TD culture.
  12. Thinks strategically, has a positive attitude, and inspires others to the same.
  13. Proactively resolves problems and manages conflict/negotiates positively.
  14. Superior communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence across multiple stakeholders.
