About the Opportunity
Corporate Finance
- Oversee day‑to‑day corporate financial operations related to P&L management.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for corporate entities.
- Provide oversight over IFRS financial reporting mandates and support the assessment of complex technical accounting issues.
- Coordinate to implement new accounting standards across the portfolio.
- Contribute to board and executive‑level financial reporting and presentations.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accounting policies are updated and aligned with evolving standards.
- Monitor working capital and support initiatives to optimise liquidity and financial efficiency across the organization.
- Collaborate with leadership on the development of corporate operations strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Develop frameworks for improved oversight and control over financial assets and obligations.
- Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for corporate departments.
- Collaborate with department leaders to manage G&A budgets, providing insights and variance analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to enhance cost discipline and accountability.
Taxation
- Manage the improvements and standardization of tax reporting and file maintenance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate tax returns.
- Support indirect tax compliance requirements.
- Manage documentation and support audits or reviews by tax authorities.
Finance Transformation
- Lead initiatives to modernize financial systems, tools, and reporting processes as part of the company’s finance transformation roadmap.
- Champion automation and data integrity improvements across finance functions.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure scalable and integrated finance solutions.
- Contribute to the design of efficient processes and controls to support a growing management platform.
- Lead or participate in special projects that advance the organization’s strategic objectives.
Team Member Focus
- Develop and manage performance of the Corporate Finance team, fostering accountability, growth, and high performance.
- Develop relationships with other working groups in and outside of Finance to achieve objectives.
About You
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Minimum of five years of related experience, including people management experience.
- Relevant professional experience, including public accounting and industry.
- Strong technical accounting experience with IFRS.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written, verbal and presentation.
- Strong attention to detail & an ability to interpret results to support business growth.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and coach.
- Advanced Excel skills with a demonstrated ability to work with large datasets.
- An ability to build strong working relationships across the organization.
- Proven ability to succeed in a high-volume environment.
Salary Range
$115,000 - $120,000/year
