Position Summary

Manager, Compliance and Ethics Operations is responsible for developing and implementing compliance training and awareness strategies to foster a culture of ethics and compliance within the organization, including monitoring, testing, and enhancing compliance programs and controls.

This manager leads continuous improvement across the enterprise by monitoring and testing compliance programs and systems, conducting comprehensive assessments, and partnering with assurance providers to ensure full coverage of compliance services. The role leverages data sources to identify and elevate gaps and risks, educates associates on compliance obligations, provides actionable solutions, and supports the development and execution of remediation plans. Responsibilities include producing executive-level reports on remediation status, supporting regulatory contact resolution, and contributing to emergency response efforts. The manager aligns initiatives with operational business partners and cross-functional teams, identifies compliance and operational risks through facility visits, data analytics, and collaboration with the SMA team, and promotes continuous improvement across business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance programs, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct investigations, elevate issues, and develop strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Deliver compliance training and education; monitor execution and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement across markets.
  • Supervise and develop team members, fostering an inclusive and ethical workplace culture.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives aligned with Compliance objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate data‑driven strategies into Compliance operations.
  • Identify and implement scalable digital solutions to improve accountability and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Professional certifications in AI, machine learning, or data science (e.g., Microsoft Certified) are highly valued.
  • Expertise in Regulatory Compliance, Risk Mitigation, and Auditing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification (or equivalent).
  • Project Management designation (PMP or similar) highly valuable.
  • Proven experience in data analytics, digital transformation, or AI implementation within corporate or compliance settings.
  • Hands‑on experience with upstream testing methodologies and embedding data quality checks early in operational workflows.
  • Proficient with enterprise data platforms and AI tools.
Additional Details
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed; Canadian license required.
  • Regular domestic travel between multiple facilities or worksites, including same‑day, overnight, and consecutive overnight stays.
  • A valid driver’s license in Canada is mandatory.
